What we use
Rather than traditional cookies, Brooktrail relies on your browser's local and session storage for a few essential things. They stay on your device and are not used to profile you:
- bkt_age_ok — remembers your 18+ confirmation for the session (session storage).
- bkt_cookie_ok — remembers that you've seen this notice so it doesn't reappear (local storage).
- bkt_credits — stores your current virtual credit balance during a visit (session storage).
What we don't use
No advertising cookies. No analytics or measurement cookies. No cross-site trackers, pixels or fingerprinting. No third-party marketing tags. Because Brooktrail has no accounts and no payments, there's simply nothing to track.
Managing storage
You're always in control. You can clear Brooktrail's stored items at any time through your browser settings:
- Open your browser's privacy or site-data settings.
- Find brooktraill.com and clear its local and session storage.
- On your next visit you'll simply be asked to confirm your age again and start fresh with 1,000 credits.
Clearing this data won't break anything — it just resets your session.
